Working in the southern New England area for over 37 years, Coletta Contracting Co., Inc has become known for their quality work and professionalism. Self-performing several trades with small crews allows for a hands-on personal approach with each project. Uncompromising detail and coordination have been and always will be the cornerstone of their success.

Robert J Coletta established Coletta Carpentry in 1984 remodeling and building customs homes in Southern New England. In 1994 he expanded into the commercial industry working as a subcontractor building restaurants, supermarkets and retail outlets. In 2000 Mr. Coletta and his son, Justin, incorporated changing their name to Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. Their new name helped describe a new focus in commercial general contracting and construction management. Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. would move forward determined to build with the same quality and detail of a custom home in each and every commercial building project they manage.

Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. is a fully insured, bonded and registered Rhode Island construction company and also holds a DCAMM Certification for General Building Construction in Massachusetts. Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. is also a member of the RI Association of Builders and Contractors.

Our Team

Robert J. Coletta, President

Robert J. Coletta is the President and founder of Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. He has been involved in all types of construction throughout his entire career. Robert worked for a decade building and remodeling custom homes in Southern New England before he expanded into the commercial construction industry in 1994. Robert worked with other leading general contracting companies as a subcontractor building restaurants, supermarkets, and retail outlets while developing the necessary skills needed as a General Contractor. He maintains site supervision, quality control, and safety monitoring on each project he manages. Robert realizes the importance of a team concept and utilizes qualified subcontractors to perform each trade. Robert has an unrestricted Massachusetts Supervisor’s license as well as several industry certifications.  He has also served on the board for the RI Construction Specifications Institute.

Justin J. Coletta, Vice President / Project Manager

Justin J. Coletta is the Vice President of Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. He has over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry and holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island as well as several industry related certifications. Since joining the company in 2000, Justin has proven to be an essential key component of making Coletta Contracting Co., Inc. a leading competitor in the construction field. He specializes in estimating, project management, scheduling and planning for all projects. Justin stands by his company's work to assure the completion and satisfaction of all contractors involved.

Eileen Coletta, Assistant Project Manager / Office Manager

Eileen Coletta, who has been with the company since 2011, manages the daily office operations including Human Resources, accounts receivable and payable as well assisting in project management and estimating when required.  Eileen studied interior design at RISD and designed kitchens and bathrooms prior to coming to us at Coletta Contracting.
